Mixing
Mixing is arguably the most artistic element in the recording process. In the studio you have your ideas already recorded with your vocals, drums, guitars, samples, etc. just like a painter would have already gathered their ideas and sketched out their ideas for their next painting. In the studio we have our tools like EQ, compression, reverb, delays, just as a painter would have their various paintbrushes and different color paints.
Where as a painter utilizes their paints and brushes on a canvas, in the studio we utilize our mixing board and volume and compression to create sounds that can form a picture in our minds. Mixing is a talent that you cannot gain from reading a book or listening to a lecture, but rather comes from years of experience and a natural ear for the craft. Our engineers have years of experience in creating audio artwork for multiple styles of music and can accommodate any musician's needs.
